Privacy notice

This notice covers visits to the ChiloChill website and the enquiries you choose to send through its contact links. It describes the website’s contact, reservation handoff and optional measurement features.

Who is responsible

Chilo Chill, S.A. de C.V., with its privacy address at Carretera Corredor Isla Cerralvo km 10, colonia El Sargento, postal code 23232, Baja California Sur, Mexico, is responsible for the personal data described in this notice. Privacy enquiries: media@chilochill.com.

Contacting ChiloChill

The email enquiry form asks for your name, email address, area of interest and message, with an optional preferred date. It prepares a message in your own email application; you decide whether to send it. The form does not deliver or store your enquiry in a website enquiry database. If you send it, ChiloChill receives the details through email and can use them to respond to your request about a stay, dining, lessons, experiences or groups.

WhatsApp links open the external WhatsApp service. Some links include a suggested topic, and, where a kitesurf enquiry tool is offered, it can prepare your selected experience level, preferred dates and message. Preparing or opening a message does not send it. Your email or WhatsApp service also processes the information you choose to send. These contact tools do not enroll you in a marketing list.

For ordinary enquiries, the published reservations contact is reservas@chilochill.com and WhatsApp/telephone is +52 612 200 3779. Please do not enter card numbers, identification documents or sensitive personal information in a general enquiry message.

Reservations and external services

Availability and reservation links take you to the external booking service. Review the information shown there before entering guest or payment details. The website contact forms do not request card details or complete a reservation. Email, WhatsApp, map and booking links take you to services whose own notices and settings also apply.

Technical information needed to serve the site

Visiting the website transmits technical request information, including your IP address and the requested page, to the hosting infrastructure used to serve the site. ChiloChill uses Vercel for website hosting. This essential website traffic is separate from optional analytics; rejecting optional measurement does not prevent you from browsing or following reservation and contact links.

Optional analytics

When enabled in the site configuration, Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager and PostHog load only after analytics consent. The site’s measurement events describe the page and language, broad booking party/stay-length groups, contact or booking handoffs and prepared-message actions. PostHog may use technical browser, device and session identifiers. The manually authored events exclude names, email addresses, message text and complete contact URLs; page URLs exclude queries and fragments. Network connections to a provider still transmit technical connection information.

PostHog’s site configuration disables session recording, automatic form capture and person profiles. Its configured interaction heatmaps are limited to the English home, accommodation and menu pages. This notice describes those configured features; optional provider loading remains subject to activation and your choice.

Your optional measurement choices

When optional measurement is active, you can accept, reject or customize it and reopen Privacy settings in the footer. Analytics and advertising choices are separate. A saved choice is valid for up to 180 days under its policy version in that browser and origin; an expired or changed policy requires a new choice. Global Privacy Control keeps advertising denied. Advertising platform tags are not enabled in the current site configuration.

Withdrawing analytics consent stops new site measurement and clears pending events and PostHog persistence. If Google tags have already loaded and the changed preference is saved, the page reloads to unload them. A request already sent cannot be recalled. When optional measurement is inactive, these providers are not loaded and the preferences panel may not be displayed.

Data held by ChiloChill and your rights

For information about personal data held by ChiloChill, including its use or retention, write to media@chilochill.com. You may request access, correction, cancellation or objection to processing (ARCO), revoke consent or ask to limit use or disclosure, subject to applicable law. Include your name, a reply method and a clear description of your request and the relevant data. Identity or representation must be verified before protected information is disclosed. Do not send unnecessary documents in an initial general enquiry.

Data you send through email, WhatsApp or a booking service is also subject to that service’s processing. Consult the relevant service’s notice for its storage and deletion options.

Service providers and international processing

Website hosting uses infrastructure outside Mexico. The external services listed here describe their own processing locations and safeguards in their privacy notices.
