A slower day beside the Sea of Cortez

La Ventana is a place for days shaped by both movement and stillness. The Sea of Cortez, Isla Cerralvo and the desert landscape give you plenty to look at, whether you are heading onto the water or taking a quiet moment on shore.

In our February 2026 wellness story, we introduced Wellness Sundays at ChiloChill: yoga, guided breathwork, ice baths and Pandora Star alongside the outdoor experiences that bring people to La Ventana. Here is a closer look at those different ways to spend time here.

Yoga in the open-air shala

ChiloChill’s shala is an open-air yoga space surrounded by desert scenery and ocean breeze. It is not directly on the sand; its connection to the coast comes through the setting, the open sky and the air moving through the space.

The original programme described vinyasa, restorative flow, functional mobility and breath-centred practice. These offer different rhythms for a session, from flowing movement to a quieter practice. Leave room in your plans for the kind of class you actually want to take, rather than trying to fit every activity into one day.

Breathwork, ice baths and Pandora Star

Guided breathwork and ice-bath sessions are part of the wellness experiences described in the original story. Pandora Star adds a different format: light-based meditation. Each is a distinct experience, with its own session arrangements.

Choose the experience that interests you most and leave the rest of the day open. There can be room for both a session and some unplanned time by the coast.

Another perspective from the water

Kitesurf, sea safaris and snorkeling near Isla Cerralvo also feature in the story. They bring a different perspective on La Ventana: the bay seen from a board, the coastline from a boat, or the marine landscape from the water.

The original article described the November–April kite season and ocean outings during warmer months. Those are seasonal ideas for planning, not a promise of a particular session or conditions on your dates. Keep time on the water flexible so it can fit the weather and the activities available during your stay.

Time to stay a little longer

Glamping at ChiloChill can be the starting point for a few days in La Ventana, with room for yoga, time by the sea and a different pace between outings. You do not have to choose between an active trip and a quiet one; the pleasure is in finding your own balance.
