The hot springs of El Sargento

Near La Ventana, the shoreline of El Sargento has a distinctive meeting of sand, seawater and natural warm springs. It is a different kind of coastal outing: a chance to spend time at the edge of the Sea of Cortez and notice the details of the place.

Our May 2024 story introduced these springs as part of the landscape around La Ventana. The appeal starts with the setting itself, where the beach and the warmth emerging from the ground meet in the same stretch of coast.

A pause along the coast

Give this outing a little space in your day. Take in the shoreline, watch the water and enjoy being outside. The springs add another layer to a beach visit, alongside the sea air and the changing light.

You can make it part of a stay in La Ventana without turning the whole day into an itinerary. A slower coastal visit offers a different pace from time spent on a kiteboard or heading out on another activity.

Leave room for local conditions

The experience of a natural shoreline is shaped by the conditions you find on the day. Keep your plans flexible and check current access and local guidance before heading out.

Plan your visit

If you are staying at ChiloChill, ask the team about visiting El Sargento and what to confirm locally for your dates. Leave time to enjoy the coast as well as the springs.
